Big Things

I thought my boys ate my brain while I was pregnant but apparently I have not reached brain dead yet. Big things are happening around here. Well not that big yet but my ideas have potential and I’m putting them into motion finally. Hopefully my new ventures will be able to help our family financially without compromising time with my men. When I have a firm base I will share more.
On a lighter note (literally), I’m finally starting to feel skinny. Now of course there is a lot of work to be done. Some of which my body will do on it’s own and will just take time, but I’m actually wearing form fitting clothes again. Still waiting on that handsome husband to return for my weigh in but I’m not that worried just curious. I hope you all have had a great summer!

Hell in Heels

I have been attacked with a few challenges lately. I have to remind myself every once in a while that I am the type of woman that could make the Devil shit his pants.

I’m back!

So I fell of the planet for a while. My husband is at the tail end of a work trip that has left me with two babies and lots of visitors. I have really enjoyed the company but I’m ready to settle back into our normal routine again. Not to mention the fact that J1 misses Dad and is so sick of Mom telling him no all the time (as you do with an 18 month old). I’m surprised he doesn’t think his name is “no”. J1 has decided to throw EPIC tantrums lately as well. I believe the terrible toddler year are upon us. If you could see my face you would know I’m so pumped about it. Then there is my happy not so little J2, who at 13 1/2 pounds is the force that grounds me through the day. I’m going to have to start looking for something else because this time next year I’m going to have two wonderful little monsters screaming at me all day.
Needless to say I have had my hands full trying to balance my mini men and working out and cleaning. I see a lot of inspirational quotes that say it’s only an hour out of your day…well these people obviously don’t have kids. Well at least not two under two. My first two weeks of P90X have been successful and I have only missed two days each week of exercise. I think that’s pretty good considering my situation. The only way I could have accomplished the set program is to lose out in sleep and that’s something I can not compromise right now because I’m really only getting 4 to 5 hours a night with all of J2’s night feedings (and late night giggle parties).
Bottom line is I’m feeling thinner and sore so both means it’s working. J2 has his 18 month well visit tomorrow with his new doctor who must be some Dougie Houser prodigy because she looks like shes about 18. J1 loves young attractive ladies so it works out for us.
So here are my new measurements
The weigh in will be next week when my husband is back in the office (his scale is super accurate because it’s Used to do Marine weigh ins). So let’s get to working out and remember…

2 Years

Today marks two years of crazy marriage me and my husband. Everyone says their husband is the best but mine is the shit! He works so hard to make sure our family has everything we need. He always thinks about me and brings me little goodies every once in a while. Sometimes it’s my favorite chocolate milk or a soda and sometimes a hoodie from wherever he has to travel. Hoodies are my absolute favorite piece of clothing ever, he always picks the best ones. I have finally found someone who loves me for the weird, crazy lady “Maude” that I am and I love everything about him, even when he is in a “mood”. He makes me smile, laugh, and sometimes he makes me mad. The ups and downs we have encountered have seemed so small because we are willing to sacrifice for each other. The best part of “us” is our two little men. My life is perfect right now because of my husband. I hope that this is the beginning of many anniversaries and that we grow even more crazy and weird together as time goes by. What fun would life be if you don’t have any one to get weird with? This is laced with inside jokes but I know he will read it eventually. I love you Dragon…you make my dreams come true!

Back in Action

Ok ok! I know you missed me ( and by missed me I mean didn’t even think of me) but I’m back! We had our first family vacation over the past week so I was busy. We spent the week at the Jersey Shore with my parents. They have a beach house up near Atlantic City. So needless to say I was too busy to write and I chose to be too lazy to work out. I totally made the best of my vacation. I’m not sure you can call anything a vacation with an 18 month old and a 2 month old. J1 LOVED the ocean! He sat in the waves and played in the sand. I had to literally drag him out. J2 loved all the attention from my parents. My husband loved not working for a change. He deserves a break, that man works his butt off for us. So besides J1 cutting molars and my husband hurting his neck it was a great trip. We even had a date night! Clam chowder at an outside BYOB restaurant and a few drinks with some silly locals at a local dive. Such a perfect date! Thank you Mom and Coach for watching the boys! I’m back in action and P90x starts Monday…yikes!
If you get a chance check out my Mom’s new website Jersea Girl Sea Glass. Her stuff is awesome and totally deserves to be pinned on Pinterest (hint, hint). New measurements and weigh in soon!
